A Resource for Photographers

ANTISCHOOL is the passion project of brother/sister team Christina Rouse and Greg Lutze, who have a combined photography industry experience of over thirty years. This curated collection of books, online courses, and videos about photography exists to make discovery more accessible. From recognizing the masters who came before us to highlighting talented photographers of today, ANTISCHOOL delivers a thoughtfully selected home for photographic education and inspiration. Consider this our love letter to the future of photography and the next generation of photographers.

ANTISCHOOL is not against formal schooling. We believe getting to study photography at a university is a useful path forward to developing a well-rounded photographic knowledge and skillset. However, pursuing a BFA or MFA in photography isn’t practical for the masses due to the high financial investment and time constraints of traditional education. We believe ANTISCHOOL can offer a different means of creative progression, one that pulls from the many materials available online and taught by incredible teachers. Think of ANTISCHOOL as your new classroom.

Whether you’ve just picked up a camera or are a seasoned professional, appreciating and learning from other photographers is an invaluable resource for continuous creative growth. So take a look around, and be encouraged to keep developing your craft!
